10/28/16 – We’ve been getting contact requests for an ETA on the Amazon connection, but we’re still focusing on improving our current channels based on customer feedback and immediate needs. We’ll provide another update soon. 12/10/2016 Update. Amazon Import to Shopify, Bigcommerce, Etsy is in full swing. Hopefully, beta later this month.
We receive a lot of questions about our platform and if/when we plan to expand our offering for new connections. We thought it’d be beneficial to write this article to share where we are today and some of the exciting new connections, notably an Amazon connection, that you can anticipate seeing in the near future!
Recap of 2016 To Date
Most of 2016 has been focused internally and externally on marketing our existing platform. It’s been a slow grind, but I believe we’ve finally turned the corner. It takes a lot of time and expense to establish a brand and internet software apps are no different. We’re all having to learn just how important SEO has become to get our message out to prospective clients. The days of “instant” success are long over, replaced by planning, money and hard work.
Internally, we’ve been adding personnel and some much needed backbone to our systems to improve service. As we keep expanding, it’s necessary for our team to have the proper tools to support our customers.
What’s Coming Up – 2016 Pipeline (Amazon Connection!)
After a slow summer, development is finally gaining speed moving on to connecting new channels for our customers. You will be pleased to know that Amazon has been moved to the top of our priority list, following repeated requests from our customers looking to expand using our tools.
After some earlier delays, development is now in full swing and our goal is a late 2016 launch for Amazon. To use Amazon, it’s appearing that our customers will need to be connected with MWS API, the Amazon Merchant Web Service. You’ll also need to have an Amazon Seller account. For pro sellers, this is a $39 monthly fee, which replaces a listing fee. We are also working on accepting Amazon payments for these customers so stay tuned for future updates on this feature.
We anticipate that Amazon will become a hub for us, just as eBay is now. Amazon Import to Shopify, Bigcommerce, Etsy will be included. Once the main actors of all parts have been written and thoroughly tested, additional connections can quickly come online by re-using existing functions. Although, there are still challenges to complete our “grand vision” of connecting what I call the “Top 5 “ – (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Bigcommerce and Etsy), the foundation is in place and you can expect to see progress towards this goal as the year goes on.
