General Application Questions:


Question: I don't want all my items imported. How do I get around this? Answer: In the eBay item SKU field, put the first 3 letters to "AUC" (stands for auction). This item will not be imported. On Etsy, we also offer an additional option. If you don't map the eBay Category that item falls under, the entire Category is skipped for import.

Question: My store products have missing images. How do I fix this? Answer: Delete the store product(s). Assuming you have the Sync turned on, the Product will be re-imported with the next scheduled sync and the image problem solved.

Question: If I import only a small number of items can I reduce the monthly price? Answer: No. How many items you import does not affect the price. If an eBay account has 25K items, we charge the 25K price.

Question: If my current ebay store and 2nd eBay store listed the same item. (same product title). Will ESA detect this as duplicate and only list once? Answer: Yes

Question: Do you import Item Specifics from eBay? Answer for Shopify: Yes. They are placed in product tags. Answer for BigCommerce: Yes. They are placed in custom fields. Answer for Etsy: Yes, they are placed in the top of the Description Field, assuming you select them on Step 3 of Setup.

Question: What fields do you import? Answer: We import title, description, SKU, price, images, tags, etc as revelant. We sometimes will also import ISBN, MPN, Item Specifics, and other fields. It's best to run a free trial and examine the product to see what imported for an accurate list.

Question: I didn't get the Daily Mail I signed up for? Answer: Check your spam folder. In a few cases, mail servers have blocked these emails and consider them spam. Not much we can do if that is the case.

Question: Can you import from eBay to my WordPress/WooCommerce/etc website that I built? Answer: No. We import to Shopify/BigCommerce/Etsy because they have an large behind-the-scenes interface called an API that supports read, creation, update, and deletion of store products. Wordpress/WooCommerce/etc don't support this.

Question: Can I change product titles after import? Answer: Yes.

Question: If I change the title or description on eBay does that change it on my store as well? Answer: No. We sync the product, inventory and price only.

Question: Does esa Product Manager pull listings off ebay if they sell on or do I need to manually pull them? Answer: In your Sync Options, set Delete eBay Sold items from the store? to YES to have us do it for you.

Question: How do I get the full-size images from eBay to import? Answer: Choose the ZOOM Option for Images.

Question: Do you import only NEW eBay listings? Answer: We import whatever is not found in the store. So, yes.

Question: How are products organized - categories/collections?
    Answer: Shopify, under Auto Run choose:
        1. None: No collection is created upon import.
        2. eBay Listing: The collection created is the eBay Listing Category. The product is then placed under this.
        3. eBay Store: The collection created is the eBay Store Custom Category. The product is then placed under this. If you have a product under two eBay store categories, only the first is used.

    Answer: BigCommerce. Upon product Import, BigCommerce requires a Category so choices are more limited:
        1. eBay Listing: The category created is the eBay Listing Category. The product is then placed under this.
        2. eBay Store: The category created is the eBay Store Custom Category. The product is then placed under this. If you have a product under two eBay store categories, only the first is used.

    Answer: Etsy. Under Mapping you place Mapped categories into Store Sections. You may have up to 10 Store Sections on Etsy.



Shopify / Bigcommerce Questions:


Question for Shopify/BigCommerce: What is the Delete Stragglers option? Answer: Stragglers are items that cannot be matched to an existing eBay item. For example, if you have 1,000 items in your Shopify/BigCommerce Store and 950 items on eBay, you have 950 matching items and 50 stragglers. Some people keep them. Some people want them deleted because they don't want to over-sell. It's up to you as to how you run your business. If you choose to "Delete Stragglers", extra items found in the store will be deleted.

Question for Shopify/BigCommerce: I want to force certain items to import. How do I do this? Answer: You can always do a MANUAL RUN, locate the items under the eBay Duplicates tab (Search on the title) and then click the box to Move them to the Add list. That will add them by force. However, on BigCommerce product titles can appear only once, so if the item is already in your Store, a second item with the same title cannot be added.

Question for Shopify/BigCommerce: Where are my Sync Settings? Answer: Under the Auto Run screen. Start the App and Select Auto Run from the Main Menu if necessary. If the Sync is already running, you will be sent directly to the Auto Run Page.

Question for Shopify/BigCommerce: If I manually end listings on the ebay side will it pull them off of the store as well? Answer:It depends on the options and what you want to do with left over (straggler) items. If you have Delete Stragglers turned on, we delete them. If you do turn on Delete Stragglers, be aware that manually ended listings on eBay go into the Unsold items and so, the item will still be visible to us, meaning it will remain on Shopify/BigCommerce for 24 hours then be removed. You can avoid all that by turning on Delete Stragglers and turning off Unsold Items and the item ended manually on eBay will end on the next Sync run.

Question about Shopify: How do I start esa / the app? Answer: From your Store, click APPS on the menu on the left and then click ESA.

Question about BigCommerce: How do I start esa / the app? Answer: From your Store Dashboard, click APPS on the menu on the left and then click ESA. The Landing page will appear.

Question about Shopify: How do I install the esa Product Manager for Shopify? Answer: Go to this link: Click here. Put your Shopify Store Name in the field and Click the Activate for Shopify Button. Your Shop must be currently active in Shopify (monthly bill paid, etc). Shopify will ask you to confirm the installation.

Question about BigCommerce: How do I install esa Product Manager for BigCommerce? Answer: We are in the BigCommerce App Store at Click here. Press the Get-It-Now button on the right side.

Question about BigCommerce/Etsy: Why don't you import Shipping prices? Answer: Neither BigCommerce or Etsy support shipping prices per item. Both use free or calculated shipping models. We do import item weight which can be used in calculated shipping.

Question about BigCommerce: I am a paying customer and My domain name changed. Will esa Product Manager still work? Answer: No, the system will no longer recognize you as a paying customer. Please email us the new name at support@esaproductmanager.com so we can update our records.



Etsy Questions:


Question about Etsy: I accidentally deleted the app from the Etsy site. What do I need to do to re-link it? Answer: Re-install here: Click this. Press Start. Follow the prompts and when you get to the menu, the re-install is complete.

Question about Etsy: How do I get all my items imported into Etsy without doing the Mapping? Answer: We have an option called "Import All eBay items?", only for Etsy. Choose "YES".

Question about Etsy: I'm having trouble logging in. My name and password don't work. Answer: Make sure the Etsy user name and Password fields are completely clear before you put data in them. Your browser can pre-fill the fields and that can mess things up. So delete (clear) the fields completely, then put your Etsy Name and Password in. Remember to use the same login Name as you do with Etsy.

Question about Etsy: How do I install esa Product Manager for Etsy? Answer: Click here. Press the Start button. Sign into Etsy if asked. Authorize the App.

Billing and Payment questions:


Question: Do you require a Paypal account? Answer: No. Single payments with credit card only can be sent directly to PayPal.Me/esaSoftware. Just look for the checkbox so you don't have to sign into Paypal. We pay all the Paypal fees with this method, not you!

Question: How can I cancel my Account? What is your cancellation policy? Answer: Email us at support@esaproductmanager.com. Please use an email that we have in our records, so we can verify the request is geniune.

Question: What is your refund policy? Answer: Usually we provide a full refund within 24 hours of signing up, however, it depends. Refunds in the middle of the monthly cycle are given at the sole discretion of support.

Question: After cancellation, do my items stay in the store? Or do you remove them after I cancel? Answer: Your items stay in the store.

Question: What happens if I sign up for a Subsciption that doesn't include all the eBay items I need to import? Answer: We will stop the import and ask for more money. Failing that, we will close the account and issue you a refund.

Question: What happens if my business outgrows the subscription level I signed up for? Answer: This is a good thing! And it happens to a LOT of our customers! Once you've clearly outgrown the level for a month or two, we will ask for more money. If you have an Annual term with us, it will be adjusted upward when the next Annual payment is due.

Question: What happens if my business falls below the subscription level I signed up for? Answer: Once we verify this for a month or two, we go into Paypal and reduce your payment. Yes, we really do. If you have an Annual term with us, it will be adjusted downward when the next Annual payment is due.

Question: I made a payment through the website, but the App is asking me to pay again? Answer: Website payments get an activation code sent so you can tell us which store this payment is for. Look for the activation code email in your spam folder if you don't see it. If you still don't see it, contact support.
